Chicago Tap Theatre needed a new site that would streamline their workflow in order to allow multiple volunteer staff members to quickly and easily add new events, create news stories and send out email newsletters. Additionally they needed ecommerce capabilities in order to bring ticket reservations on to their website. This site was created in Drupal running on a mySQL database backend.

Cultural Chicago is an online home for the cultural community in Chicago; a way to use the Web to connect people, places, and experience offline. Our goal is to give you the tools to make the most of what the city offers. With a strong focus on the arts, we still intend to address the culture of work, politics, leisure … the culture of everyday life.

Site features include:

  • Daily arts news from around the world
  • Biweekly articles on Chicago artists, arts events and arts organizations
